Read each clue carefully. Complete each checkpoint accurately based on the description.  You must complete 9 out of the 10 checkpoints.  Checkpoint #10 is mandatory (cannot be your skip), and will need to be completed last, otherwise checkpoints can be completed in any order throughout the race.

Each checkpoint has a set of validation points below the clue that we will confirm for every submission.  Submit your completed clues to our Race Headquarters throughout the race via your Team Bonfyre and we will notify you quickly of the status using one of these simple responses:

VERIFIED = everything is completed correctly

CODE 1 = you are not at the correct location

CODE 2 = all of the requirements were not met

CODE 3 = all team members were not visible

Our HQ will review your submission almost instantly.  You should see your response very quickly but you do not need to wait around for it, especially if you are confident that you completed the checkpoint correctly. Teams need to stay together throughout the race from one checkpoint to another and each team member (and their body markings when possible) should be visible in every submission unless otherwise noted.

If you have a race-related question during the race you can submit it through your Team Bonfyre.  We will respond quickly and provide you with the information you need as long as it doesn't impact your ability to solve the clue.

We have carefully scouted and vetted every checkpoint but cities are a constantly changing beast so if a checkpoint is inaccessible or you're not able to complete the requirements for any reason let us know right away and we will adjust the requirements if needed and verify accordingly.

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!

Checkpoint #1

Located about 8 blocks from the Access, this "World" is home to creatures of all kinds, princesses, and two Italian brothers who specialize in plumbing (among other things).  The one you're seeking inside this World is featured in the video below.  Although there may be many smaller versions of the one you seek, get to the most prominent one found at the bottom of the staircase.  Once you've found him, take a picture of your entire team posing like him, and make sure he's clearly visible in the background.

- The specified inhabitant is clearly visible in the background

Checkpoint #2

*This checkpoint will be closing at 4:00pm so unless you want it to be your skip you'll need to arrive before then!

In most Urban Adventure Races you'd expect the checkpoint to stay still, but this is not like any other race! To find out where your checkpoint is right now just click on the button below and follow it's location.  The "Moving Target" will be wearing something red, and will be moving around NYC throughout the day.  If you think you've found the target approach them and say "You're Beautiful".  The actual moving target will respond "X MARKS THE SPOT".  Once you've found them, take a picture with your entire team and the Moving Target.  You may want to take it quickly or discreetly so other nearby teams don't see you.

Checkpoint #3

*This checkpoint will be closing at 2:30pm so unless you want it to be your skip you'll need to arrive before then!

This 2nd floor fitness studio only a few blocks southeast from the Access is known best by 3 letters.  To figure out those 3 letters and reveal the name of the business you need to get to, use the song below to solve these lyrical questions:

First 2 letters = Who's the "New Sinatra"?

3rd Letter = Where would you catch Jay-Z and OG at a Yankee Game?

Once you find the location, enter through the door marked "265" and take the elevator to the 2nd floor to complete the challenge.  Upon completion of the fitness challenge you will be given an item as proof.  Take a picture of your entire team with the item so our Race HQ can verify you've completed this checkpoint.

- The specified item as proof of completing the challenge is clearly visible

Checkpoint #4

This pier is probably not named after the town with the zip code 15330, but it could have been.  Once there, find the grassy area that's shown in the 3D rendering below and has an historic vessel as a backdrop.  Once at the grassy area complete ONE of these fun childhood activities with at least 2 strangers:

-Take a picture of your entire team and at least 2 strangers in a 3 tier human pyramid on the grassy area with the vessel as the backdrop

- 1 picture, all team members clearly visible

- At least two strangers are visible and completing the challenge with your team

Checkpoint #5

Solve the puzzle below to reveal the location of this checkpoint.  This serene location found across the bridle path behind a bronze bust of an Italian patriot is an appropriate gathering spot for someone like you on a day like today.  Once there, take a picture of your entire team with a sign that identifies this location

- Sign that identifies this gathering spot is clearly visible in the background

Checkpoint #6

Originally called a "Biscuit" and produced by the National Biscuit Company this now famous treat has a block named after it in Chelsea where the original factory stood.  To celebrate New York's role in bringing this treat to the world, take a picture of your entire team each having a half of the treat on one cheek and the other half on your other cheek.  When we say cheek we mean your face, but if you decide to use a different cheek we'll regretfully accept that too.  Two halves of the treat must be stuck to the cheeks of every team member and they have to be free-standing (you can't hold them on).  So lick, stick, or smash it against your face until you're able to get a picture with it stuck on each team members cheeks at the same time.

- 1 picture, all team members clearly visible, and completing the challenge at the same time

- The designated treat is being used

- Each team member has a half of the treat stuck to one cheek and another half stuck to their other cheek

- The treats must be sticking without anyone holding them on when the picture is taken

Checkpoint #7

With the clock depicted in the model below being hailed as the most famous clock in New York it shouldn't be too tough to find, but timing is what could make this checkpoint a game changer.  Get to this busy location and take a picture of your entire team while any of the four clock dials are at any ONE of these times: Top of the hour, 15 minutes after the hour, 30 minutes after the hour, 45 minutes after the hour.  Although you only need one picture, the timing has to be right, so make sure your entire team is in the picture and the time on the clock is clearly visible so our HQ can verify it.

- 1 picture, all team members clearly visible

- Specified famous clock is visible in the background

- Clock must be at any ONE of the specified times

Checkpoint #8

What makes this checkpoint easy is that there are multiple locations where you can complete it.  What makes this checkpoint challenging is that they are all located along a very popular one and a half mile stretch of park space along the city's west side.  Oh and did we mention in order to get to the park you have to be about 30 feet off the ground?  Once you've reached the park take a video of your entire team all drinking from any of the park's unique drinking fountains.  This checkpoint will give your entire team a chance to get some much needed refreshment, and maybe even some life advice from an unexpected source.

- 1 video, all team members clearly visible

- One of the unique drinking fountains from the specified park is being used

- All team members must drink from the fountain while the video is recording

Checkpoint #9

There's no denying Times Square is full of energy!  But in a city that never sleeps it needs all the energy it can get!  So race your entire team to the heart of Times Square, and complete ONE of these high-energy challenges below:

1.  Take a picture of your entire team and at least 2 strangers all jumping in the air at the same time , and make sure the picture includes enough background that we can verify you're in Times Square (taking the picture from one of the large medians in the middle of the street may work best).  All people in the picture must clearly be off the ground in order for the checkpoint to be completed, so timing will be crucial.

- 1 picture, all team members clearly visible and completing the challenge

- At least 2 strangers are clearly visible and completing the challenge with your team

- Your entire team and the 2 strangers must all be in the air jumping during the picture

2. There's so many people in Times Square but it makes it easier to find someone when they're only in their underwear!  Find the "Naked Cowboy" and take a fun group picture with him OR take a video of your entire team all dancing with him while he plays guitar. It's your choice, so take into consideration which of these options will be the most fun when you post it to your social media later tonight! Be aware that the Naked Cowboy earns a living by entertaining people so slip him a few bucks afterwards, although we don't want to know where he puts the money...

                         OR

- 1 video, all team members clearly visible and dancing while the Naked Cowboy plays guitar

Checkpoint #10

(MANDATORY, CANNOT BE YOUR SKIP)

(MUST BE COMPLETED LAST BY YOUR TEAM)

This checkpoint will need to be the final one you complete.  The FINISH LINE for the entire race!  To figure out the name of this popular place you just have to figure out what the 27th word of the Pledge of Allegiance is.

Once your team completes your 8th total checkpoint successfully our Race HQ will send you a quick and brief instruction on what your team needs to do at this location.  Once you complete the challenge or upload the required submission at this location you will be finished the race and you will instantly receive your finish place and time!  Then you can celebrate with your team and all the other fun racers at the after race party (see details below)!

- All team members present at the Finish

- Team completes the requirement sent by Race HQ
