Read each clue carefully. Complete each checkpoint accurately based on the description.

You must complete 9 out of the 10 checkpoints.  Checkpoint #10 is mandatory (cannot be your skip), and will need to be completed last, otherwise checkpoints can be completed in any order throughout the race.

Our HQ will review your submission almost instantly.  You should see your response very quickly but you do not need to wait around for it, especially if you are confident that you completed the checkpoint correctly.

Teams need to stay together throughout the race from one checkpoint to another and each team member (and their body markings when possible) should be visible in every submission unless otherwise noted.

If you have a race-related question during the race you can submit it through your Team Bonfyre.  We will respond quickly and provide you with the information you need as long as it doesn't impact your ability to solve the clue.

We have carefully scouted and vetted every checkpoint but cities are a constantly changing beast so if a checkpoint is inaccessible or you're not able to complete the requirements for any reason let us know right away and we will adjust the requirements if needed and verify accordingly.

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!

Checkpoint #1

Located along a street named __E_O__ (blank spaces represent other letters) is a museum honoring the history of a type of fighting done here in the city. This museum is located in a building that has been dedicated to fighting since 1909 and although it's address is 4-digits residents used to refer to this place just as "1".  But now "1" is located a few blocks west of here.

Once at this location take a video outside of the museum of your entire team all performing the well-known safety technique taught by those who serve in this field of work, while the museum is clearly visible in the background.  This safety technique is made up of 3 prominent action words and is often taught to kids, but can be fun for Urban Adventure Racers to practice too!  When performing the technique be sure to shout out the 3 prominent steps so we know you are doing them in the proper order!

- 1 video, all team members clearly visible if possible

- Team is at the specified museum and it is clearly visible and identifiable in the background

- Team members are performing the well-known safety technique

Checkpoint #2

Where do a lot of people want to go when it's this hot in Denver?  To this business that is conducted out of a twenty-eight foot tall, 14,000 pound can!  Based on the name of this place maybe working out of a structure that huge is due to the owner having some kind of Napolean Complex or something.  One thing is for sure, if the can is full it would be a nightmare for anyone with Hypolactasia. Once there, take a picture of your team while at least one member is giving a piggy back ride to a stranger eating the product commonly served at this location.  The "rider" should be a stranger, and holding or actively eating the product. With temperatures this hot outside you'd better take the picture quickly or you'll leave there with a good amount of the product on your head!

- 1 picture, all team members clearly visible

- Team is at the specified business and it is clearly identifiable in the background

- At least one member of your team is giving a piggy back ride to a stranger who is holding or actively eating the product commonly served at this location

Checkpoint #3

The trolley has been extinct as the main mode of transportation here in Denver since 1950, but there's still a chance to get a taste of the old life.  This brightly colored trolley shares it's name with something it meanders along and prominently displays a 4-digit number on it's front. Although it won't be hard to figure out what you're looking for, it will be much tougher to track it down.  When you do, take a picture of your team with this 18-ton classic in the background.  You do not need to actually ride it or be standing right next to it even, as long as you can get a picture of it in the background and you're at least close enough that HQ can identify it.

- 1 picture, all team members clearly visible

- The specified classic trolley is in the background and clearly identifiable

Checkpoint #4

The original plan drawings shown below are for a popular gathering spot here in the city.  Somewhere within the boundaries of that space is an area filled with yard games.  In preparation for the Summer BBQ season, this checkpoint will test your yard game skills!  Once you find that area you can complete EITHER of these two challenges:

1. Take a video of any member of your team successfully landing a beanbag in the cornhole bullseye while tossing the bag from beyond the other cornhole platform.  Basically, stand where you would normally stand to play the game, and land a bullseye in the opposite platform.

OR

2. Take a video of any member of your team successfully landing the LadderGolf "bola" (which is the golf balls connected by rope that you throw), on the top "step" (the cross bar) while tossing the bola from beyond the other ladder.  Basically, stand where you would normally stand to play the game, and successfully land the bola on the top cross bar or "step".

*There is the potential for this area to close suddenly if bad weather rolls in, so if that happens notify HQ via your Team Bonfyre and we will provide you with a revised challenge to complete at this location.

**Please be aware that this is a public space and the yard games needed to complete this challenge could be in use by other members of the public. That is the risk you take by choosing to complete this checkpoint so take that into consideration when planning your strategy.

- 1 video, all team members clearly visible if possible

- Team is within the specified popular gathering spot, and at the designated yard game area

- Team successfully completes EITHER of the two yard game skill challenges as outlined above

Checkpoint #5

Xplore has become known for it's tradition of getting up close and personal with some of the best urban fountains throughout the country, and that tradition is especially refreshing on days like today!

The fountain you need to find is in a plaza that shares it's name with a man who was born in Philly 180 years ago, but is considered a founder of this city. And it now shares part of it's space with a weekly Farmers Market that just had it's Grand Opening last Saturday. Once you get to the fountain take a 9 second video (the max you can upload to Bonfyre) of each team member doing a plank directly over a separate jet of water.  To clarify, the jets spray out from the ground, so each team member should be planking (see example below) over a separate jet that is actively spraying water.

* If needed you can submit two videos, each showing half your team completing the challenge so that someone on your own team can film it and hold any belongings you want to keep dry.

- 1 video, or mulitple videos if needed, all team members clearly visible

- Team is at the specified fountain in the specified plaza

- Each team member is doing a plank over a separate jet that is actively spraying water

Checkpoint #6

In order to complete this "On The Go" type challenge, you'll need to get to the restaurant that specializes in "On The Go" type service.  Founded in 1940 this chain has grown to over 36,000 locations, but the few found here in Denver are just out of the way enough to make you question your strategy.  Once you get to one, take a picture of your team while each team member is doing some variation of a yoga "arch" (one example shown below), while the arches that this chain are known for are clearly visible in the background.  You'll need to get to an actual operating location, and not just use a picture of their logo for example.

- 1 picture, all team members clearly visible

- Each team member is doing some variation of a yoga "arch"

- The restaurant's "arches" are clearly visible and identifiable in the background

Checkpoint #7

For the past year the artist that painted this colorful mural has been traveling the country and sharing his aerosol style of artwork, which is inspired by a memento that became popular in tourist gift shops back in the 30's-50's.  His mural here in Denver can be found on the exterior of a refreshing business and within each letter are scenes from around the region. What's interesting about the picture below is that it not only gives you a visual clue for the mural you need to find for this checkpoint, but it also may reveal the location of another checkpoint today (Xplore Inception?).   Once you've found this colorful piece of art, take a picture of your team all making your best goofy faces while the mural is clearly visible and identifiable in the background.

- 1 picture, all team members clearly visible

- Team is at the specified mural and it is clearly visible and identifiable in the background

Checkpoint #8

The playground shown below sits along a picturesque 40 mile trail that connects the city with communities such as Parker and Centennial.  In fact that trail starts just a few blocks northwest of this location in a park where William Green Russell initially began his search for gold, sparking the Gold Rush and the founding of Denver.   Once you get to the playground complete EITHER of these two physical challenges:

1. Take a picture of your team while all members have at least one hand placed at the top of the metal pole on the rope structure shown in the picture below.  If you have a large team please only send a few onto the structure at a time and submit multiple pictures until everyone has completed it.

OR

2. Take a picture of your team while all members are completely off the ground and holding onto the rock wall shown below, using only the rock wall holds.  If you have a large team please only send a few onto the structure at a time and submit multiple pictures until everyone has completed it

*Please be mindful of other non-racers using the structures.

- 1 picture, or multiple pictures if needed, all team members clearly visible

- Team is at the specified playground

- Team members all complete EITHER of the two physical challenges outlined above on the specified playground structures

Checkpoint #9

With Father's Day coming up next weekend this challenge honors men in the city that have taken on that fatherly role and aren't afraid (or too tired) to get outside with their little one.  Find any male stranger who is pushing or just accompanying someone with a stroller and take a video of his response to your question "What is your favorite thing about being a father". Keep in mind the maximum length video you can upload to Bonfyre is 9 seconds but you're encouraged to record their full answer, and not cut them off, and then trim the video in the app down to your favorite 9-second portion when you submit it to HQ.  In the video be sure the person filming captures the male stranger and his stroller, so that HQ can verify it's not just some guy without a stroller.

- 1 video, team members visible if possible

- a male stranger with a stroller is visible

- the male stranger provides an answer to your team asking him "what is his favorite things about being a father"

Checkpoint #10

(MANDATORY, CANNOT BE YOUR SKIP)

(MUST BE COMPLETED LAST BY YOUR TEAM)

After you have completed 8 total checkpoints and had them verified by our Race HQ, then this checkpoint will be the final one you complete. The FINISH LINE for the entire race!

The establishment you need to get to, whose logo contains the image shown below, is almost in foul ball territory if a Rockies player pops one back hard enough.

Once your team completes your 8th total checkpoint successfully start heading towards this location and our Race HQ will send you a quick and brief instruction on what your team needs to do once you get there.  Once you complete the objective or upload the required submission at this location you will be finished the race and you will instantly receive your finish place and time!  Then if you'd like, you can relax with your team, some other fun racers, and recover from your adventure at this after race venue!

- All team members present at the Finish

- Team completes the requirement outlined by Race HQ
